For those of you subscribed to the Social Media Marketing For Printers content, there are a couple of things we’d like you to be made aware of. First, your Twitter content that was scheduled for today experienced issues with the email delivery server and did not go out on time as scheduled. It was re-sent about 11:30 am (Central time) this morning. If you did not receive it, please check your spam folder, or, if you still don’t see it, give us a call, and we can help get your content to you directly. Secondly, we are working to resolve the delivery issue. It’s an issue that is somewhat out of our control, and that just seems to fall under the “doing business in a digital age” category. If you continue to notice an interruption to your Social Media Marketing subscription, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at CustomerCare@MarketingIdeasForPrinters.com or by phone at (701) 241-9204 or (800) 736-0688.

There’s a lot of noise out there in the world of social media, and it can be downright difficult to stand out in the sea of noise! But, it’s not impossible. Here’s a tip that will help increase the odds of landing in your Facebook followers’ timelines with more frequency: Add some video! The next time you’re ready to add content to Facebook, make a video introduction. Here’s a basic step-by-step walkthrough of the process. Shoot a Good Video Introduction It all starts with a good video. Notice I said a good video, not a perfect video. It’s easy to get lost in the weeds and aim for perfect. Usually perfect is a good thing, but in this case good is acceptable because the purpose of the video is simply to lead the greatest number of visitors possible to the content you’re highlighting. It’s easier than ever to make a good video these days. Smart phones and any number of inexpensive digital devices are all up to the task. You won’t get perfect video, but you will get good video. Facebook loves video content, so it makes sense that if you can get the attention of Facebook, then Facebook will reciprocate and present your video (and the content it’s introducing) to more of your followers. Remember

Everyone’s using social media to share birthday greetings, tell the world about their new favorite food, and complain about the weather. But how do you use social media to sell more printing? Ironically, you use social media to sell printing by not selling printing. Huh? Social media is about being social, not “sales pitch-y!” If you use social media to be social, you’ll start to connect with customers and prospects. You’ll start a conversation with them … a conversation rooted in a constant stream of fun and interesting information delivered via social media. Then, some day when they need to buy printing, who’s going to come to the top of their mind? YOU! The person they’ve been having a conversation with! And that’s the point where social media turns from a conversation into a sale! If speaking social media isn’t your native tongue, starting the conversation can feel awkward. That’s where The Buzz comes in! The Buzz is a month-to-month subscription service; it’s your social media conversation starter. We’ll provide content for Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, and posts for your blog all ready for you to use at the push of a button. The Buzz takes away the hassle of coming up with social media content on

Pop quiz: How were you directed to the latest “viral” video or photo online? (Hint: Not through Google!) There once was a time when it seemed like social media was just a fad that could be safely ignored, but those days are far behind now. When it comes to getting your message spread far and wide by your strongest supporters, social media is the engine that powers success. Social sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter make it easy for users to share information with friends and other trusted sources, who in turn share that information with their friends. This way, the message spreads from one trusted source to another, ensuring that it’s always…well, trusted. Search Engine Optimization may help potential customers find your website; but social media not only brings people to your website, it keeps them connected with your organization so that they keep coming back for more! To stay connected with your customers, though, you have to say something. And that may be the most difficult part of doing social media properly — how do you keep coming up with something to share? Don’t worry, we have you covered. Our social media content engine, The Buzz, automatically supplies
