Last week, my wife dropped her iPhone. She was upstairs, and I was downstairs when I heard the phone hit the floor. This was not your ordinary phone drop; this was the phone’s life-ending “thud!”
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to replace her phone, and it was because of one easy change: flexible pricing. That’s the starting point for the video below (4:28), which explains the new, flexible pricing for websites from Marketing Ideas For Printers.
Summary: Gone are the three incremental levels of bundles (the Start, Grow, and Conquer bundles). In their place are bundles designed to serve specific purposes.
This new pricing structure will take effect for existing customers on January 1, 2018. We’re telling you now, so you have plenty of time to find the right combination of add-ons that work for you. And, if you don’t make any changes by January 1, that’s no problem; we’ll just roll over your current add-ons into the new pricing plan at that time.
However, the transition to this flexible pricing also coincides with some other important changes, so you’ll want to keep reading to see how these changes affect you.

Summary: The digital Business Form newsletter is being discontinued, effective January 1, 2018.
The digital Business Forum will be removed from websites provided by Marketing Ideas For Printers as of January 1, 2018. Please note that the printable Business Forum will continue with no interruption at all.
Here’s the rest of the story (1:31):
Summary: On January 1, 2018, the default option for email service is to continue as-is (for an additional charge); other email options will be available, too.
The environment in which we offer websites today is very different than when we started back in 2001, and that’s what is leading to a change in the way we provide email service. This video (2:29) explains:
Starting January 1, 2018, you’ll have these options for email service:
If you wish to obtain your email service through either Google or the vendor of your choice, please contact us when you’re ready to start that transition. We’ll help you every step of the way!
Summary: Domain name registration and maintenance is being unbundled from the website service, but continues to be a service we will provide, if desired.
Domain name registration and management used to require an advanced degree in computer science…and a fax machine! There can still be the occasional unexpected nuance to navigate, but it’s soooo much easier to register, renew, and manage domain names these days. Here’s what we mean (3:03):
If you’re already managing your own domain name, then nothing changes. However, if we’re managing your domain name for you, then the first time your domain name comes up for renewal after January 1, 2018, you’ll have the option to assume the responsibility for managing your domain name, or we’ll continue to do it for you for an annual fee of $35, which includes the cost of ongoing registration for standard domain names (.com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us). Non-standard domains (such as .press or .tc, for example) will incur additional charges.
Summary: Custom security certificates can help give you a boost in search engine rankings.
Custom security certificates are a little geeky to understand, but it’s worth it because they can help you sell more printing online! Here’s what you need to know to understand why they’re good for your website visitors and not just your human visitors (3:05):
We’re offering the management and maintenance of security certificates as a “thank you” gift to our existing customers in two ways:
**UPDATE: Good news! We’re now offering complimentary SSL Certificates! To learn more about this new benefit to you, check out Chrome 62, SSL Certificates, and What it Means For You, and this video (9:46):
Whew! That’s a lot to soak in! We understand that, and we’re here to help. If you have questions, just drop us a note via email (CustomerCare@mi4p.com) or through your Help Center, or give us a call at 800-736-0688.
