Meet the Team: Joanna Erber

What do you get when you combine “caring” and “intentional?” You get our amazing team member, Joanna!

Joanna has been a part of our team at Marketing Ideas For Printers as the Financial Services Director but recently became our Integrator. That means on top of the financial services she’s focused on project management, communications, and executing our business plan.

Being considered for the Integrator role is my proudest moment at MI4P. I honestly didn’t even consider myself for this role when we started discussing it. But, the more I dug into what it would entail, I kept thinking, “this is me!” I absolutely love the strategic planning – setting goals, figuring out the steps needed to reach those goals and implementing them – and forecasting.

Making Projects a Reality

Joanna has such a knack for being the liaison between our company vision and reality. We say, “here’s where we want to go,” and she helps plan the way to get us there. As much as we enjoy and benefit from Joanna, it’s fun to hear that she’s gained some things from MI4P as well:

I have gained so much since starting here three years ago! I have gained friendships and I feel I have really grown as a person, too – spiritually, in leadership capacity, and in business operations. I have been fortunate to attend the Global Leadership Summit the last few years and that has really opened my eyes to show what I can do personally and professionally to improve the lives of others around me. It has been so rewarding to implement the things I have learned there.

So, with all of these projects she’s helping to manage, which one is her favorite?

I want to say Odyssey, but I have not been as hands on with that (yet). I would have to say the Flexible Pricing. I love how all the departments work together to do something better that the customers have requested (either indirectly or directly). Cindy, our Solutions Specialist, had us do a complete 180 to make it better for the customers, and I am so glad we did.

Get To Know Joanna

Tell us a little about your family:

My husband, Curt, and I have three children: Liz (age 18) just started her freshman year of college, and twin boys, Christian and Jaden (age 14), who are freshmen in high school. We are on the go – concerts, football, baseball, hunting, fishing, family functions – there is always something going on!

What are your three most overused words/phrases?

1. Really
2. Oh, man!
3. Sorry – I am really working on not saying sorry when I shouldn’t be!

Do you have a favorite quote?

The Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
(It’s the accepting the things I cannot change that is the hardest for me!)

Joanna defines success as: “being able to see the value I have added to others, whether that is family, friends, community, or work.” We have experienced Joanna’s value firsthand and hope she realizes how truly “successful” she is!
