Meet The Team: Rachel Nies

Rachel Nies, Marketing Ideas For Printers

Here at Marketing Ideas For Printers, we value marketing content. Because we value content so highly, we value the people that create and manage that content. That means we value Rachel a lot! Now it’s time for you to meet Rachel, the Marketing Director here at Marketing Ideas For Printers, and find out why she’s such an important part of our team.

Rachel’s Path to Marketing Ideas For Printers

Every step of Rachel’s life seemed to bring her closer to her current role as the Marketing Ideas For Printers Marketing Director. In fact, Rachel’s path to Marketing Ideas For Printers started back when she was just a child!

My first connection with Marketing Ideas For Printers began in the late 80s when my mom worked for Mike Stevens (the founder of Marketing Ideas For Printers) at Express Press as a typesetter. In the late 90s, I, too, went to work for Mike and Dave Hultin at Express Press, both in the high-speed copy department and then as a project manager. About five years ago, I connected with Dave Hultin again (his wife, Judy, works with my mom) and came back to work for Marketing Ideas For Printers first as the Content Manager and now the Marketing Director. It felt like coming home.

Managing Marketing For You

Rachel has come a long way since her early days at Express Press. These days, it’s easy to see that Rachel thrives on your success. She’s at her best when she helps you be at your best. As our Marketing Director, she’s in the perfect position to help you succeed:

My role is all things marketing – social media marketing content, direct mail content, Odyssey marketing (Odyssey is the new Print MIS from Marketing Ideas For Printers), website content, etc. My goal is help MI4P and our customers generate leads for their business.

Her desire to bring out the best in others shows through loud and clear in the marketing content she brings to you. It’s just who she is. Here’s proof! With nothing more than just a casual prompt to tell you a little more about herself, Rachel offers:

My passion is helping others succeed. I don’t want to be in the limelight, but I’ll do everything I can to get you there. I love playing piano and singing, singletrack mountain biking, hiking, and all things “planning and details.”

Falling In Love with Rachel

When asked about her favorite project at Marketing Ideas For Printers, Rachel is quick to reply:

Although it’s not complete yet, working on the marketing component of Odyssey has been (and still is) my favorite. It has NOT been easy. In fact, it’s been overwhelming! But, when I see the need that it will fulfill and how helpful it’ll be to our printers, I’m so excited to be a part of it. Recently, at a trade show in Chicago, after explaining the new marketing component to a prospect, this man that I had never met told me he loved me and how much he needed what that marketing component will provide. After that awkward profession of love, I just thought to myself, “This. This is why I do what I do – to help people just like this.”

Once you have an opportunity to experience the results of Rachel’s work, you will fall in love with her, too, just like our trade show visitor did!

Get To Know More About Rachel

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Be an ultrasound tech. I just always thought it would be a cool job. You get to come in and be helpful without all the needles and blood.

People would be surprised if they knew:

I work full-time remotely as well as homeschool two of my three kids. That seems to freak a lot of people out – sometimes, myself included.

What are your hopes for our industry?

Vision! I hope printers see they don’t have to sit back and allow things to just happen to them. I hope they realize the tools and power available to them to step out and grow right where they’re at.

Rachel’s mantra is, “Make people better off for knowing you.” As a company, we are better off every single day we know Rachel, and as a subscriber to the content from Marketing Ideas For Printers, you are, too!
