Technical Support Representative

Marketing Ideas For Printers is looking for a service-minded, tech-savvy individual to join our Tech Support Team! In selling subscription-based software solutions such as websites, plugins, print MIS, direct mail, and social media packages, we have one goal: To help printers sell more printing! We have a 30-year history in the printing industry and are now working to build a new breed of online business and marketing tools for our customers. This means we’re adding more talent to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

The Technical Support Representative needs to be a “people” person and have a servant’s heart dedicated to helping others achieve success. We are looking for someone who can: 

Solve Problems

You will be responsible for providing technical application support and troubleshooting our SaaS (Software as a Service) products. A lot of the time, you’ll be able to solve problems using tools and resources already available to you. Sometimes you’ll be challenged to get creative and come up with new solutions, both independently and with your team. 

Develop a Thorough Knowledge

You’ll need a willingness to learn and an understanding of our existing products and services, enhancements to existing products and services, and all new products and services introduced to the market we serve. 

Suggest System Improvements

As a member of the Technical Support Team, you will be well-positioned to verify that our products and services are helping to create success for our clients. See something that can be improved? Good! Our clients really appreciate knowing that someone’s looking out for them! You will be responsible for working with the quality assurance and development teams by identifying, documenting, and communicating bugs and support issues. 

Test New Features

When we roll out enhancements to the apps and services we provide, you will test new features from the point of view of our clients. Since you are in regular contact with our clients, you will be in the best position to make sure the new features truly help printers sell more printing. 

Identify Sales Opportunities

Everyone at Marketing Ideas For Printers is expected to be sales-minded and customer-focused. As a Tech Support team member, you will be expected to listen for and identify sales opportunities whenever possible and then connect them to their service representative.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Stellar customer service skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems 
  • Strong listening/comprehension skills
  • Ability to stay composed and objective
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to learn complex applications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred 

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years of technical support experience 
  • Software application implementation experience
  • Experience in a software company 
  • Print Industry knowledge is a HUGE plus 
  • Experience with software applications or SaaS 
  • Experience with JIRA bug ticketing software 
  • Experience with graphic design software 
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript
